The Ocean
The film follows the journey of Joel North, a patient who underwent neurological rehabilitation using a combination of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation and intensive physiotherapy.
Joel reflects on the lessons that brain cancer has taught him and the people and places from which he draws inspiration and motivation.

"I met Joel North in 2018 under dire circumstances in a cramped consulting room in the hospital. He had undergone surgery to remove a huge astrocytoma for the second time. Charlie, who had removed the tumour, told us that he was young, handsome and fiercely committed to beating brain cancer, and that he and his remarkable wife Anita, were pregnant with their first child.
The aggressive resection meant he had lost mobility down one side and could no longer walk. We were tasked with the job of administering TMS to expedite his recovery.
